Built in 2002 in the old Dole canning factory, this megaplex is all stadium seating. Fits right in with the rest of the entertainment in the old building with restaurants and entertainment venues.

Operated by the Signature Theatres chain, and since taken over by Regal Theatres. The main lobby and entry forecourt celebrates the site's Hawaiian heritage with its twenty foot abstracted palm leaf light sculpures forming a canopy over the entire lobby. Side walls are adorned with backlit Hawaiian quilt motifs and native woods complement imported marble wainscoting. Auditorium sidewalls feature palm leaf patterned acousical fabric panels. A 'Critics Corner' specialized concession offers gaumet beverages and food. This award winning retrofit was designed by native Hawaiian, Dan Uesugi of Uesugi Associates, theatre specialists from San Francisco.

Stories

Stories are just that. Stories and personal accounts that have been reported about the location. This section could also contain research notes as well.

Yes, Hawaii has hauntings too! And, plenty of them. So, to keep up with my summer vacation haunts. This I thought would be an interesting one. It's said that the movies theaters are built over what is known to be an ancient Hawaiian Heiau, or a place of worship or human sacrifice.

In Theater Number 14 there is a ghost of a man in his late 50's haunting the theater. He would watch people in the audience on the top corner of the theater.

But, the main haunting is done by a group of school children that were killed at the site from a school bus accident.

It's said that you can hear children screaming and crying in the bathroom next to the theater.
