The Cavalier Hotel was built in 1927. In the early days of the hotel, it was used as a United States Navy training center. Many socially elite individuals frequented this hotel. As a result, the hotel has been nicknamed the "Aristocrat of the Virginia Seashore."
Today, the Cavalier Hotel is a popular tourist attraction for many individuals. The hotel accomodates many events ranging from meetings to weddings. It now sits on 18 acres and contains two hotels.
