A modest family cemetery was established in Austintown, Mahoning County, Ohio, near the five corners of Meridian Road and Mahoning Avenue in 1831. At about 27 by 28 paces, the cemetery is practically a paragon. Scouts Shaun and Richard Wray cleaned and renovated the cemetery as part of their Eagle Scout Project on July 3, 1993. The Wrays also had a wooden and brass monument erected in front of the graveyard. Tiny brass plaques bore the names of the deceased interred in the cemetery. Every one of these young men deserves praise for what they've accomplished. Newspaper stories around July 3, 1993, mention the Wrays' endeavors and this cemetery. There is a clear separation between the grave sites on the left and right as you ascend the steps leading into the cemetery.
